Mouse Guard: Fall 1152 (David Petersen)

I think this book deserves a lot of credit for it's art and setting. He, obviously spent loads of time creating this tiny world for mice. It's not the best story but a nice read.

Fundamentally, this is a childrens book, but it's well illustrated and clever enough to be interesting for adults and I think it would be an excellent starting point for getting kids into more heavy duty comics.

It's not brilliantly written; a number of plot holes and inconsistencies marking it as an obvious first effort but I am reliably informed that the series gets better with the next book.
